HealthSciences Institute, University of Toronto Medical School & Toronto's Centennial College Professionals Launch CCP eLearning Program.

September, 2005. HSI, in partnership with curriculum & health care eLearning design and competency development professionals from the University of Toronto Medical School and Centennial College, including Toronto's Robert Luke, Ph.D., Learning and Development, released the first disease management eLearning program. The asynchronous learning program is designed for distance for delivery to health care professionals who wish to complete CCP certification.

HSI Supports Largest Heart Failure Registry: ImproveHF

June 2005. HSI was selected as a partner on the ImproveHF heart registry--the largest outpatient heart failure performance improvement project and registry to date. The study is aimed at improving adherence with American College of Cardiology guidelines for heart failure among nearly 200 US cardiology practices. Over 50,000 patients are involved in the study. Dr. Blake Andersen, HSI CEO will be facilitating national physician practice performance improvement sessions in Chicago, New York, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and other US locations in partnership with leading heart failure experts. The study is funded by Medtronic and is co-chaired by Dr. Gregg Fonarow, FACC, FACP of the UCLA Medical School and Clyde Yancy, MD, FACC, FAHA, FACP, of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

HealthSciences Announces Partnership with the Case Management Society of America (CMSA)

February, 2005. HealthSciences Institute announced a partnership with CMSA to offer the CCP certification program to CMSA's 10,000+ members. The CCP program will be provided as an advanced offering in CMSA's new Educational Library.

Version 3.0 of the Chronic Care Professional Program Released

January, 2005. the updated version of the Chronic Care Professional (CCP) program was released, updating disease management content and expanding the focus on behavior change facilitation and health care coaching.

South Country Health Alliance Selects CCP Program

February, 2005. South Country Health Alliance, a leading Minnesota County-Based Health Care Purchasing group selected the CCP certification program for delivery to public health and social services staff from fourteen Minnesota counties.
