CCP Certification Support

[If you can not find the answer to your question on this page, click here for our support form]

1. I forgot my password, how do I recover it?

When you access the login page for the CCP program on the upper right corner of the HealthSciences Institute home page at http://healthsciences.org/certification/login/index.php, you will find a button under the login/password boxes titled "Forgotten your username or password? Help me login" Click on this an you will receive instructions for resetting your password immediately.

2. Why is that I can login to the CCP eLearning program, but when I click on the links for the modules, nothing happens?

You need to turn off your pop-up blocker for our site to view the modules.

Internet Explorer

Simply click on Tools in the taskbar at the top of your screen. Look for "Turn on" or "Turn off" the Popup Blocker. Turn it off.
Click on the screen shot below to locate this option:

Google Toolbar

If you have turned off your Pop-Up Blocker in Internet Explorer but are still experiencing issues with the modules not appearing, you may be experiencing a Google Toolbar Pop-up Blocker issue. To disable the Google toolbar Pop-Up Blocker, Click on the wrench icon in the far right corner of the Google toolbar at the top of the screen. An options menu will appear, look for the option tools and select it. After you select tools, look in the tool selection menu for the pop up blocker. If it is checked, uncheck it and click the save button.

Firefox

Click on the Tools in the taskbar at the top of your screen. Locate the Options tab and select it. When the options menu appears choose the content tab at the top. You can either uncheck the Block Pop Up windows or click the exceptions option. Add http://www.healthsciences.org to the address bar when it appears for Allowed Sites. Click allow.

Google Chrome

After you select which module you would like to view Google Chrome will block the module from opening. At the bottom of the screen it will alert you that it did this. Click on the message and it will tell you which module you are trying to open and click on the name of it. It then will open in a normal window.

Opera

Click on the Tools in the taskbar at the top of your screen. Locate the Quick Preferences side menu option and select Open All Pop-Ups.

3. How long does it take to complete the exam? Is there a time limit for the exam?

Most participants complete the exam in one to two hours. Although there is no formal time limit for completing the exam, your server (or ours) may "time you out" (disconnect you) after a long period of inactivity, or, if you take longer than four to five hours to complete the exam. Since there are many factors that determine the risk of a time out occurring (relating to your server or internet service provider, or ours), we cannot provide a precise estimate of when a time out will occur. However, if you are completing the exam and are disconnected for any reason in five hours or less, you can contact technical support and request that your exam be reset to allow another attempt. Reset requests will generally be handled within one business day. If you have had the exam open for greater than five hours and are disconnected, this attempt may be considered a failed attempt. In this event you will need to wait 30 days to re-attempt.

4. What happens if I fail the exam?

You will have a second attempt to take the exam precisely 30 days after the date and time of the failed attempt. Please note, however, that all examination and re-examinations attempts must be made within one-year of your CCP registration date.

5. What if I want to access the CCP eLearning program at home (or work)?

No problem. You can access the CCP program from anywhere you have an internet connection.

6. Do you offer any type of payment plans for individuals who need assistance with tuition payment?

Most individuals who register for CCP certification pay by credit card. And, typically, most health care organizations reimburse employees for the cost of the CCP certification program, as an industry-recognized certification or tuition-reimbursed program. Although we do not offer any formal financing, in special circumstances other payment arrangements may be possible. Please contact us for more information.

7. I have a colleague who wants to check out the program, can I give them my username and password to use?

For security reasons you are not allowed to share your username or password with anyone. Access by others may result in deactivation of your account. Please ask your colleague to contact us for more information.

8. When do I receive my certificates?

Once you successfully complete the CCP exam, your CCP certificate and certificate of completion will be emailed to you immediately upon completion as PDF files. If you don't have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, please download and install. Please print out copies of your certificates for your records. We recommend a color printer for best results!

9. When I was attempting to take the exam my internet browser keeps asking me "Do you want to allow this webpage to access your clipboard?" with yes or no options but if I click either of them nothing happens. What should I do?

1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options.
2. Go to Security tab.
3. Select “Internet” zone, then click on “Custom level…” button.
4. Scroll down to “Scripting” section (at the bottom few).
5. Under “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” option, check or select (tick) Enable. Default action for this option is Prompt, which cause the pop-up message whenever there is any attempt to access the Clipboard.
6. Click Ok twice to exit from Internet Options.

Please click on the examples below for a closer look at this issue:

10. My email address is expiring. How do I change it in the certification program so I can still receive messages and log in to the program?

If you need to change your email address/user name id go to the support page on healthsciences.org and fill out the form with your request and select the eLearning Technical Support tab and one of our technical support people will change your information and send you a confirmation of the changes made.

11. Why didn't I receive my CCP and CE certificates after I passed the exam?

First, please check your junk mail folder. Second, since your CCP and CE certificates are sent as attachments, some corporate servers block some emails with attachments. If you cannot find your certificates in your junk mail folder, please provide us with a secondary email and we will resend to your secondary address. If you are with an organization, we also recommend contacting your technology department to request that www.HealthSciences.org be added to your organization's "whitelist" which will ensure receipt of future communications. If we can assist your technology representative, please ask them to contact us at. We'll be glad to help.

12. I cannot find the answer to my question in the Welcome to the CCP Program Module or in the FAQ list. Can you help?

HealthSciences Institute is pleased to offer technical support to CCP participants. If you need help, please send your request to our support team, or simply use the contact form accessed via the support link on the website. Email technical support requests will be answered within one business day. Since we do not offer phone technical support, please submit all technical requests by email for the fastest response.
