Evidence-Based Health Coaching:
Motivational Interviewing in Wellness, Disease Management, and Care Management

HealthSciences Institute held a filming session in Chicago on September 29th featuring an interview with Dr. Susan Butterworth, HealthSciences Institute advisory board member and Associate Professor with the Colleges of Medicine and Nursing at Oregon Health & Science University. Motivational interviewing-based health coaching vignettes and case studies featuring actual patients with chronic conditions were filmed. Additional filming is scheduled is other locations in 2009. The interviews and vignettes will be included in the first video series on the practice and application of motivational interviewing-based health coaching for individuals at risk of or affected by chronic conditions. This series will be available to all current CCP program participants, with plans for future release to the CCP-certified community.
