MI Skill-Building Webinar Series
The HealthSciences Institute MI Skill-Building Webinar Series is a excellent distance learning option for practitioners interested in building foundational skills in MI for health care, or, experienced MI practitioners who want to build MI skills for health care. The webinar series may be completed alone, or prior to, or following, the CCP program or the MI Skill-Building Workshop.
This series is designed for clinical or nonclinical direct care or health management staff. Five, one-hour skill-building sessions organized around the soon-to-be-released 2012 Miller and Rollnick MI health coaching model framework from Preparing People to Change (3rd Ed) are offered. Like all of our MI training programs, this series incorporates the latest research and innovations in health behavior change, along with group activities, case studies, and concrete skills that participants can apply directly to daily job roles.
All sessions held 11:00 am to Noon (Central). Any missed sessions can be replayed for 30-days after the entire series ends or after the date of registration (whichever is later). Registrants can complete the series by replay only. Registration is available for individuals only.

Webinar Details
All sessions will be held from 11:00 am - Noon pm (Central). Registration is ONLY available for the entire series. This series will be offered three times in 2012: Spring, Summer and Fall (after the MI Health Coaching National Conference). If you are unable to attend live sessions, any or all may be completed via replay. Regardless, all sessions must be completed and verified for Registered Health Coach candidates. Simply register for the series and you will be notified how to access the replays.
Faculty
Susan Butterworth, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Sciences University; HealthSciences Institute; MINT member
Dr. Butterworth has been in the health promotion field for over 20 years. She received her doctoral degree in adult education and training with a cognate in health promotion from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her special area of expertise and research is motivational interviewing-based health coaching. She is an associate professor with the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She has been awarded two National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants to study the efficacy and impact of health management interventions, and has published multiple papers on the theory and outcomes of health coaching. Dr. Butterworth has led large MI workforce development training programs in a variety of health care, wellness and chronic care. settings. At HealthSciences Institute, she is lead trainer and advisor in MI-based health coaching.

Continuing Education Approvals
This event is preapproved for 5.0 contact hours toward CCP recertification. Additionally, it fulfills one of the core training requirements for the Registered Health Coach credential. You will be provided a certificate of completion after attending or replaying all five training sessions and completing an evaluation. Please check with your licensing board to determine if this event is eligible for credit.
Refunds or Cancelation Policy
No refunds will be issued for "no shows" or cancelations. If you are unable to attend one or more sessions, replays of each session will be available for 30 days. If this program is canceled, all fees will be refunded.
