Michael Baime, MD

Dr. Michael Baime is the Director of the Penn Program for Mindfulness and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches a variety of classes at Penn, including full-credit electives in the Graduate School of Education, the School of Nursing, and the Department of Psychology, and he directs several courses and training programs within the School of Medicine. He has received the Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching at Penn, and has trained over 10,000 individuals in an eight-week mindfulness based stress management program. His research interests include the interaction between mindfulness and spirituality, the cognitive and neural changes that result from mindfulness practice, and the utility of mindfulness in a variety of clinical settings.
